The unfortunately named Rolling Loud Festival, which has recently announced the lineup for 2019’s Miami iteration has once again delivered a ridiculously stacked lineup, complete with a who’s who of chart-toppers and buzzing underground talent. The three-day festival will be fronted by Migos, Travis Scott, and (most importantly) Kid Cudi, who are sure to have plenty of surprises for both casual and diehard fans.
On its five year anniversary, the festival has grown exponentially in both notoriety and attendance, transforming into more of a modern warped tour for hypebeasts and hip-hop heads, with a little bit of SXSW sprinkled in for good measure.
If history repeats itself, as it often does, we can expect major crossovers and guest appearances, such as the surprising reunion of Ski Mask the Slump God and the late XXXTentacion, who shared the stage with a renewed friendship after a highly public falling out. Fans and media have also come to expect a bit of controversy and headline grabbing drama, an example being the infamous assault of Lil B by a mob affiliated with A Boogie with the Hoodie and PNB Rock, which led to the cancellation of the Basedgod’s show and severe media backlash for the assailants.
Before getting completely loaded and blacking out during the headlining sets, be sure to check out performances by Freddie Gibbs, Denzel Curry, Shoreline Mafia, Valee, Curren$y & Wiz Khalifa, and many more who are sure to please every type of hip-hop fan. If you fit into Rolling Loud’s target audience, there’s no doubt you’ll get plenty of bang for your buck.
